Editorial Policy

This page describes how Studio Spins produces its journalism. It is short because the rules are short.

How we review

Hands-on where possible: we play the games we review, in licensed markets, on our own budgets, and we note pacing, latency, dealer standards, and payout handling from those sessions. Where hands-on access is not possible, we build reviews from documented sources — the provider’s published game rules, published RTP tables, regulatory filings, and trade coverage — and we attribute figures accordingly (“published RTP”, “per the provider”, “as of this writing”). We do not invent statistics, quotes, or test results, and we do not present a provider’s numbers as our own measurements.

What scores mean

Scores are out of 10 and are editorial judgments of the product as a whole — the maths, the floor standard, the pacing, the honesty of the pricing. A high score is not a recommendation to gamble, and no score is for sale. As a practical guide: below 5 means we would not sit down; 5–7 means a competent product with real caveats; 8 and above means a product that leads its category — and still lists its cons, because every product has them.

Disclosure

Studio Spins is commercially supported and may earn affiliate commissions or advertising revenue from links. Any paid or affiliate content carries a disclosure notice at the top of the post, and paid links are marked rel="sponsored". Sponsors get clearly labelled space; they do not get editorial control, and they do not get scores. We do not publish operator sign-up links, bonus codes, or “join now” calls to action.

Bylines

The site publishes under house bylines maintained by its editorial team. Reviews run under the editor’s byline, Dana Mercer; news runs under “Staff, Studio Spins.” We do not fabricate journalist biographies or credentials.

Corrections

We correct errors of fact quickly and visibly. If you spot one — a payout figure, a date, a table count — use the contact page and flag it as a correction. We aim to act on corrections within 24–48 hours.

Responsible coverage

This site covers an 18+ subject for licensed markets only. We report on products; we do not coach anyone to gamble, promise returns, or frame gambling as income. Every page carries a responsible-gambling line, and every review includes one in the body of the text.
